We believe that the wellbeing and character building of our students is as important as their academic achievements. By maintaining our enrolments between 850 – 1000 learners from our Early Learning Centre through to Year 12, we are able to know each student as an individual, to monitor her progress carefully and to ensure she feels accepted, valued and validated in a nurturing atmosphere. In so doing, we develop articulate, courageous, critical thinkers who are generous of spirit, have a lifelong love of learning, who have a voice and use it to make a positive contribution to their wider community.

As testament to Ivanhoe Girls’ tradition of innovative and socially progressive education, our graduates have achieved outstanding success in a broad range of Australian and international tertiary pathways, across a diverse field of study. The key to success is to encourage and nurture creativity in whatever combination of subjects our students are interested to study and explore. Which is why Mathematics, the Sciences, Visual Arts and Music are among our most popular and successful subjects.

Ivanhoe Girls’ recently defined our School Values to ensure they were strong and concise; to mean something; and reflect the unique culture and environment that is Ivanhoe Girls’.

We wanted to ensure that our Values:

• Deliver consistency – what we say and do.

It became clear that an important aspect of our connectedness comes from our traditions and our shared values. The five School Values importantly sit alongside our Statement of Purpose.
