To prepare young people for a successful future, the wide range of co-curricular activities at Ivanhoe Girls', offers the opportunity for students to cultivate vital life skills such as teamwork, leadership, resilience, confidence building, time management and perseverance.
Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School is a member of Girls Sport Victoria (GSV), one of the largest independent school sporting associations in Victoria. There are a large range of sports that students can do either as part of the GSV inter-school competition or in addition to it. These include:
Aerobics, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, circuit training, cricket, cross country, cycle sport (track and road), diving, fencing, football (AFL), golf, hockey, indoor cricket, kayaking, netball, outdoor education skills, run squad, snow sports, soccer, softball, swimming, artistic swimming, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, water polo and yoga.
The outstanding music program at Ivanhoe Girls' includes Choirs, Orchestras, Concert Bands, Jazz Bands, String Ensembles, Percussion Ensembles, and smaller ensembles including String Quartets and Piano Trios.
Opportunities include AIM (Art In Motion) Drama, Debaters Associations of Victoria, public speaking training, Radio Vita and the annual Senior School Production, which alternates each year from a Play to a Musical. Recent productions include Twelfth Night, Freaky Friday, A Government Inspector, Chicago, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Chess.
Opportunities include Amnesty International Club, Duke of Edinburgh Award Program, International Club, Mustard Christian Group, Red Shield Appeal, Student Representative Council and Youth Parliament.

Please note: Some activities on offer are subject to Extra Tuition fees. These include instrumental music lessons, speech and drama training and tennis. After-school swim classes held by Ivanhoe Girls' Aquatics are also subject to tuition fees.
