Recently, the Year 9 Tutor Captains and Student Representative Council (SRC) attended a leadership webinar called AMP’D UP. Due to physical distancing restrictions preventing us from having an excursion, our students were able to log in and meet students from all across Australia as they learnt some fundamental lessons about how to lead.
Our Year 9 leaders took away some key messages, including how to adopt a leaders mindset and encourage others to do the same. They discussed how to navigate our ever-changing world and discover new opportunities for leaders in our current climate. The final key take home message was learning the power of what we can and can’t control, so we invest energy to be most effective.
