Message from our School Captains

Independence and self-confidence are two of the many things that Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School has taught us over the past five years. By creating an environment that encourages curiosity and empowers young people to embrace their individuality, we are all given opportunities to develop and grow. We have been able to try countless new activities to find our strengths and our weaknesses. Once you are a member of Ivanhoe Girls’, be it as a student, teacher or parent, you are a part of a community that feels like a second family.

With co-curricular activities including music, drama, debating and sport, Ivanhoe Girls’ allows all students to find their feet and step outside their comfort zones. Whether or not these ventures end in success, students always have a supportive network to fall back on while creating memories and experiences that they can look back on in the future. We are extremely grateful for programs such as Failure Week for showing us that there are things to be gained by putting yourself out there and trying new things.

As the School Leaders for 2018, we will strive to make Ivanhoe Girls’ an even more welcoming and united place where inter-year level relationships flourish. We want to make sure that all students have as incredible an experience as we have and feel comfortable reaching out for help when needed. We are so grateful for the platform that has been provided for us in 2018 and cannot wait to see what challenges and new experiences the year brings.
