Striving to be perfect can be dangerous; while a small amount of perfectionism can help you achieve difficult things and persevere in the face of obstacles, trying to be absolutely perfect at everything can set you up for failure and be a source of anxiety and depression.

The 2017 Year 12 Prefects from Ivanhoe Girls’ want to leave behind a powerful message to their fellow students, to “Be Brave, Not Perfect”.

Our Country’s Good tells the true story of the first theatrical production that was staged in Australia in 1789, performed entirely by convicts.

Our students will bring the play to life in three evening performances and one matinee in the Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School Performing Arts Centre (Corner of Upper Heidelberg Road and Noel Street, Ivanhoe).

While our School community has been enjoying a welcome break over summer, the school grounds have been a hive of activity. Look out for major changes to the Collins Wing and the Prep playgrounds, while the revamped acoustics in the PAC will enhance this wonderful building for years to come.

Congratulations to the 121 girls from the Class of 2016 on their outstanding VCE results. Six girls distinguished themselves by achieving ATAR scores over 99, while 28 students or 23% of the year gained scores over 95 and 51 or 42% gained scores over 90!

As a School we are justifiably proud of the achievements of all the girls and their teachers, which are a culmination of so much commitment and dedication throughout their schooling. Our aim as a School is to enable the girls to achieve their personal best and to perform even more highly than might be expected.
