Throughout the recruitment process, Dr Priest was the standout candidate. Aside from her strong, well-rounded professional capabilities, financial and business acumen and leadership expertise, her genuine warmth and enthusiasm were evident from the very first meeting. She has a very engaging style and the Board is confident she will be a wonderful role model for our students.”

Dr Priest is currently Principal and CEO of the Australian International School Malaysia and is an experienced educator who has extensive experience in leadership positions in independent schools for girls, both day and boarding schools, along with experience in co-educational environments and the tertiary education sector. Her educational philosophies align very strongly with that of Ivanhoe Girls’, with a focus on the education and development of the whole person as an individual. She is an impressive leader, who gains the trust, confidence and commitment of her staff, and has a strong interest in improved outcomes and increased wellbeing of both students and staff members.”

Dr Priest is looking forward to returning to Melbourne, where her professional journey as an educator began, but more particularly, she is eager to get to know the students, staff and parents at Ivanhoe Girls’ and to make a significant and enduring contribution to the School through her unwavering commitment to the education of girls and young women.
